“Willing To Work” – Matthew 9:37

Then he said to the disciples, “The harvest is plentiful but the workers are few.”   Matthew 9:37

We work the extras hours and pursue additional schooling  and degrees just to get ahead, but the moment we are passed over for the promotion we wonder why. After all we have always been on time for work and taken on whatever task we have been given but things never seem to work in our favor.  One thing we may need to ask ourselves is “Am I working in the wrong place?” God promised us riches beyond our belief, but He wants something in return for it as well.  He wants us to put in some work on our knees in prayer and thanksgiving toward Him and reading His word.  It may be that our breakthrough is next door to us but because we refuse to “love our neighbor as we love  ourselves,” we may never receive  that so sought after harvest.  We should always remember that the man who sows his time doing God’s business will always have a plentiful harvest.
